Workshop ITMS-M Workshop Hosted by the Institute of Environmental Physics for ITMS Project
On 31st March to 1st April 2025 the Institute of Environmental Physics (IUP) is hosting a workshop focused on atmospheric modelling techniques within the BMBF-funded "Integriertes Treibhausgas-Monitoringsystem" (ITMS) project. Led by the team of Dr. Sanam Vardag, the workshop brought together experts and researchers from the German Weather Service, the Max-Planck-Institute for Biogeochemistry, the Karlsruhe Institute for Technology and Heidelberg University to discuss and refine the methods used to track and model Germany's greenhouse gas emissions, specifically CO2, CH4, and N2O.

The ITMS aims to enhance Germany's ability to monitor the sources and sinks of these greenhouse gases through independent measurements, contributing to the nation's efforts in monitoring the national emissions reduction.
